For brokers and 3PLs

Validate the load before you cover the lane.

Turn shipper paperwork into an equipment-aware load check. See what must be confirmed with the carrier before the rate, appointment and route become commitments.

Where the current process breaks

Three moments worth fixing first.

01

One gross weight hides the distribution

The order can be under 80,000 lb and still require a different cargo position or trailer configuration.

02

The booked equipment is too generic

“Dry van” does not describe axle geometry, slider travel, ratings or usable deck space.

03

The route promise ignores the operating day

Truck restrictions, stops and driver hours can make a plausible appointment impossible.

The workflow

One decision carried through four steps.

  1. 01

    Read the shipment

Capture item weight, dimensions, pickup and delivery sequence.

  2. 02

    Test candidate equipment

Check whether the load can be positioned legally on the intended combination.

  3. 03

    Review the lane

Use truck dimensions, weight and restrictions instead of a passenger-car line.

  4. 04

Tender with the open questions named

Send the carrier the equipment and assumptions that still require confirmation.

What changes

Four practical outcomes.

No invented savings figure. These are the changes the workflow is designed to produce and the claims you can test during rollout.

Fewer impossible tenders

Find equipment, axle and route conflicts before a carrier accepts.

A clearer carrier handoff

Share the load assumptions and route rather than a bare gross weight.

A defensible exception list

See which rule, restriction or missing input needs attention.

No false claim of control

The carrier still verifies equipment, current rules and the final operating decision.

Good fit when

  • You tender freight to outside carriers
  • Equipment and routes vary across loads
  • You need better questions before accepting a commitment

Not what this page promises

  • You want to replace carrier responsibility
  • You only need rate shopping or accounting
  • You have no item, equipment or route information to validate

Questions

Before you evaluate it.

Can a broker declare the load legal?

A broker can validate the plan and expose missing information. The operating carrier remains responsible for its equipment, permits and legal movement.

Does every carrier need an AxleGuard account?

No. Read-only sharing can carry the planned load and questions to a carrier without giving them editing access.

Does this replace a load board or TMS?

No. It complements tendering and dispatch systems by checking the physical freight and route those records do not calculate.

Evaluate it with evidence

Start with one load, the actual equipment and the real lane.

Keep the process you use today beside it. Resolve every disagreement before the result is used operationally.
